Tidal current changes speed constantly throughout each cycle. Wind, surrounding shoreline and sea bottom contours also determine how current ebbs and flows in specific locations. So for racing sailboats on Long Island Sound and elsewhere on the east coast this app has been an easy to use and reliable tool in my nav kit for many years.
This tide chart also shows the phases of the moon. With the combination it is graphically displayed as the various high tides follow the phases of the moon.
I’ve been using this app for awhile and it is very good for the tides. But when it comes to currents the app is lacking I went out yesterday to the inlet and the slack tide this app provides what wrong. Thank God I also used another app that provided me with the correct current. For a event in the tides that occurs for only 30 mins it is crucial to get correct so to see this app give the wrong reading it was very disappointing.
As a surfer and fisherman, I appreciate the regional accuracy & time/view settings. I also like the the moon phase, rise/set and calendar info. I’ve been using this app for a few years now. Mahalo nui, Lito Hilo, Hawaiʻi
Tides are pretty complex on the ocean, and worse in a big estuary like San Francisco Bay. TideGraph Pro gives you actual measured tides if you have data signal available, and calculated tides if not. The calculations are good enough for fishing, boating and surfing, so it’s got you covered.
This app is great for planning fishing trips where unfavorable tides can shorten your time on the water. This app takes the guesswork out of it.
Easiest tide app to use for any location. A must have for any waterman!
The Best
When I’m running the boat, a quick glance tells me where we are in the tide cycle. No trying to read the fine print in the tide book. No matter where we are in the boat, I can know the local tides. While on the couch at home I can plan fishing trips, or when to pull or launch the boat based on the tides. I even run the app on my AppleTV – Tide Graph on a 55” screen is amazing!
Great little app. I use it to check the tide before open water swims.
Perfect
I use it daily very informative.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I’m retired and fish many days of the week either in Kona or the PNW. TideGraph Pro is an essential tool to timing my day. Where ever I go I have a location saved showing me the tides and other key data points. Super useful tool I will keep forever.
This is the app you’re looking for! 🤩
As a salt water citizen, this app is vital.
Clunky interface and display for a paid app.
The free version is much easier to read. Paid is bloat ware. Sorry I’m reverting to the free. Contrast between menus is low. Hard to distinguish menus.
My favorite tide app I’ve found so far! Accurate and easy to use and read.
👍
Would be cool if there were some predictions for the Gearhart/Seaside Oregon beached.
I use this app for planning low tide runs on the beach…love it.
I have used four different apps on my iPhone and iPad while boating from Mexico to Alaska. This app is the easiest to use and navigate the different pages. It is easy to see moon phase and sunrise and sunset all on one page. Keep up the good work!
Double tap on graphics ANYWHERE to re-sync to current time. This is the same way that Tide Alert works. Much better user experience. Also, why does Tide Alert and your app show nearly a 3/4 foot difference in tide height using the Redwood Creek (inside) station in Redwood City CA?
I am the navigator on a 90ft training vessels. I use this app for planning and monitoring tides while we are at anchor. I also find it useful planning my local fishing trips. What an improvement from interpolation tide states with the old tide books. I do still carry a tide book for backup.
We use this app in the field .. hands down great app..
This is the best visual tide table I have found so far in my five year search
Seriously, I use this Ap whenever I’m planning time on the water.
Some Tide locations have water height’s represented by a curvy blue line. Kalama, WA on the Columbia River does not. It’s dead flat! The predicted tide heights are generally accurate (I fish on the Columbia out of Kalama dozens of times per year, and have since 1995. Raise your game and increase the quality of your presentation please.
I love it. It’s accurate. I work on boats in my harbor.
I’m a charter captain in Alaska and find the app easy to interpret and I believe the best one out there.
have been using since last year. San Francisco to Puget Sound and past month in central and south sound. It has been very accurate.
We live on a tidal island, where the road to the mainland is impassable during most high tides, for as much as four hours during extreme tides. Without this app, we’d have to move!
This app is so useful when planning my surf sessions. I’ve been using it for years and will continue too!
Referring to daily tides sunrise & sunsets information love it!! Kevin Bayville NY
First off, this is a great app and supplies me with tide, moon and sun data for my SoCal Pacific ocean surfing and sailing activities in a colorful and accurate interface. However the real plus is the developer customer service! I downloaded the app primarily to have access to tide data on my Apple Watch. After loading on my watch I couldnt figure out how to get the info synced to my location. I emailed the developer for help and totally expected that I wouldn’t get a direct response. Much to my surprise Bryan responded almost immediately and gave me some clear instructions on how to fix my issue. I tried that a few times and still couldn’t get it to work. I emailed Bryan back and he once again repsonded immediately and helped me thru the problem. Unreal customer service!
I live near the coast and love the water so having an accurate tide program on my iPhone is a real bust. I used the original version of TideGraphPro for many years and somehow never stumbled upon the premium version. This is by far the best tide program I have ever used. The graphics, user interface, range of tide stations, and so forth are better than any I have seen before. And I highly recommend this program.
Love this App.
This application is perfect. It is always accurate. We have multiple tide zones in my area and this application is always perfect.
This one really has all the information, arranged in a cool way. By flipping through the days and watching how things change you can learn a lot about how the tides working in your area.
I have used this app for years and have found it very reliable. You not only get the tides in graphic form, but you also get sunrise and sunset, moon phase, moonrise and moonset, and date and time. I have recently purchased an Apple Watch and had problems with the app updating on the watch. Support was very responsive to the issue, rolling out app updates to resolve my problem.
I’ve been using TideGraphPro for years and it’s absolutely awesome. The visual layout is especially useful as you can see the ebb and flow of the tides in one quick screen. The time offset is a HUGE feature since we live on a tidal creek where our tides are delayed 45 minutes from the nearest data point. My only critique is I wish there were a button to tap that brings you to the current time. Maybe there is and I just haven’t found it.
We’re open water swimmers & this app is easy to read and helpful when we plan our swims - the graph is especially helpful because to some extent we “ride” the tides, and it’s easy to see with just a glance the best times and tide levels. Also appreciate the excellent support; the developer very quickly responded to questions and suggestions. It’s a great app.
I’ve been using both versions for quite awhile (I jumped on the Pro version when it came out after the original) and I love them. They’re fast, easy to use and they deliver a lot of info in an efficient and uncluttered way. You can access tides in your area in a couple of ways: “near me”, or by using the map. Plus, you can save favorite locations for quick access. The sun and moon rise/set info is actually much easier to see and use than the star-gazing apps I’ve purchased. Highly recommended.
I live on the beautifully scenic Oregon coast. I find TideGraphPro to be of immense and practical use in harvesting the fruits of the sea. I use its information when surf-casting, crabbing, harvesting mussels at low tide, and clamming during minus tides. Besides being accurate and factual, TideGraphPro is a snap to use, and I really like that I can just look at my Apple Watch to see the time of the next tidal event by simply lifting my wrist. This application does everything it promises; it does it well and accurately; it’s easy to use and easy to understand. I give it five stars.
This app rocks! As a marine contractor I use this app daily and am able to calendar my jobs instantly.
I’ve been using Tide Graph Pro for about a year now at work, where I need quick access to present and future rides. What we liked most about this app is the on screen presentation, and the ability to look for times of tide heights between the highs and lows. The app pulls updated information from NOAA tide data. Recently we noticed in an update the harmonic station we had been using went away and only the sub station was left. I shot Bryan a quick email, and he responded right away with what was happening, and quickly rolled out an update to correct the situation. Recommend this app to anyone who wants quick, and easy to read tide data at their fingertips.
As a professional Mariner I have deleted countless tide apps over the years, this is absolutely the best out there
